To them, it's an optimization problem, and it's been apparent for a long time now that the optimum point is usually "the most shitty and abusive possible version that still clears the 'fit for purpose' bar" (the end point is more obvious when you look at goods and services that have been around for a couple decades or more, and thus subject to decades of "value engineering"). They care about the value extracted from us in aggregate. Nobody at the top cares if you or me are having a nice experience with the site/app. Even worse than that - they're stochastic cattle. For Reddit (as well as Meta and other social media platforms), the users are cattle. Why do people assume Reddit C-suite and investors are being stupid or narcissistic here? That would make sense if the relationship between them and the users was a friendly one. They'll then discuss all the advancement in cattle fencing and barn construction that happened in the 30 years since. What they'll be talking about is how Reddit had too many holes in its fence, and all its cows escaped. As a file explorer, Solid Explorer does a lot! It can connect to your cloud data and other places, too.> Then, 30 years from now, people will still talk about how Reddit self-destructed when they decided they needed to control the user experience and forced everyone to use their app. If your in-house file explorer cannot access that shared folder, I know Solid Explorer can. It should also see your shared PC folder. But this is how to get your Android phone connected to your trio. But I did not give it enough time to adjust for power-saving, so that could be why. It finally works on tablets, too, so I tested it out. You can control the tablet for the PC with this app. They can send IM's to each other, and files. Samsung Flow is the best app! It makes both machines act like terminals. I also have the Second Screen app on my PC, btw. It is miles better than Samsung's Second Screen. I use SuperDisplay to automatically and immediately make my Tab S7 a monitor for my Windows 11 PC. You can then drag and drop files between your PC with the tablet. On your PC, share a folder inside your Private Network, then go to My Files on your tablet, and add that shared folder location to My Files. This is by far my most used method of sending files between the two devices, Tab S7 and DIY PC. There are works-around on the net to get it on non-Samsung devices. I have Samsung Flow and Samsung Notes apps on my DIY PC. It's also good to know that in case Samsung Notes fail, the notes can always be accessed via OneNote. In the end I just use Samsung Notes because it works smooth and syncs without issues. Unintuitive note organisation system UI: folder > folder > note. Can use Onenote as a back up app to access your Samsung Notes on unsupported devices (I have not tried this).PDF loads perfectly every time (but unlike Onenote you only have the width of the PDF to annotate on).The search function covers handwritten notes as well (pretty decent). No issue at all at syncing between devices (by this time I've ditched my iPad).Sometimes PDF loads weird, and after waiting for so long it eventually loads diagonally (hooray unlimited width?).When you do a search, it does not search handwriting.A number of times I wanted to amend an existing note urgently but it won't allow me. Sometime after editing notes on device #1, it won't let you edit notes on device #2 because it says it's not properly synced. Simple but gives a great overview of all your notes. Excellent note organisation system UI: Notebooks > sections > pages.Works sufficiently well most of the time on PC, Android tablet, Android phone, and iPad.My main concern is syncing between the iPad, S7 and S8 tablets, PC, and a Samsung flagship phone. I've tried both OneNote and Samsung Notes (and a number of others) extensively. I'm late but I have some thoughts on this. I use dex mode when I am working using the tab s7 with Bluetooth mouse and keyboard. I can easily access my work using the tab s7 when I'm out of the office using this setup and it's convenient for me. This enables me to open two Word documents at the same time. In my tab s7 I installed both the Microsoft app and the Microsoft word app. I take notes using onenote because it syncs easily between the laptop, tab, and phone. I can keep my hands close to my keyboard and mouse. This is efficient for me because I don't have to reach for my phone to answer calls or responding to whatsapp chat. I also install and connect whatsapp in my laptop and tab s7. The caveat is both the laptop and phone must use the same Microsoft account. I can see my phone's notifications and taking calls from my laptop without the need to use my phone. I use link to windows between my laptop and S22U. For work files I use onedrive that sync between my laptop, tab s7, and S22U.
